is Matt Corcoran's long awaited LIVE album featuring "The
Freaky Lil One Man Blues Band"
where he plays several instruments all at the same time! Recorded LIVE on stage at the Australian Blues
Music Festival 2004 (Sat night. Goulburn Workers Club. 1500
people) and Narooma Blues Festival 2003 (the big tent. 2500-3000
people).
This album presents an audio snapshot of
some of Matt's best and most memorable Blues Festival
performances. The vibe on this album is
absolutely amazing with 2000 to 3000 people
cheering, dancing and
singing.
This is Matt at his best - live, raw, loud, and real,special
guests Chris Wilson on harmonica and backed by Benny Owen and
Phil King on djembe (the big bongo) and percussion. All the
tracks on this album are live and represent the songs that were
most requested, most danced too and most often asked to be added
to a LIVE album.
With special

were recorded LIVE in the crowd at at the Australian Blues Music

Km/H
is Matt's first album and it gets its title from being flat out,
hard rock blues, guitar instrumental, mayhem. It features a fairly
awesome line-up of session musicians such as Geordie Leach (Rose
Tattoo), Geoff Achison, Tim Neal, Paul Williamson, Toni Attard,
John Moon, and Elle Walker.
Matt sings on a couple of tracks with the fantastic Elle Walker
doing most of the main vocal work. The album is flat out (hence
the title) and filled with screaming slide guitar gymnastics. Matt
also plays harp, sax, and keyboards on the CD. Hang on and enjoy
the ride!

ANGRY
YOUNG MAN
is Matt's second album and is ball breaking, 3-piece, rock blues
tribute to the slide guitar...with some clever song writing and
witty lyrics. It features the fantastic blues session band of
Robert Dillon and Paul Gadsby. It is also Matt’s vocal debut, a
task that he worked like a pro, and sees a maturing of Matt’s
guitar talents and song writing ability.
Matt’s
“The Angry Young Man Tour of Australia” successfully toured
for over 2 years and the songs are still holding up, with many of
the crowds favourites being on this album. During this tour Matt
has sold thousands of copies of "Angry Young Man", and
it is still selling strong. You won't be disappointed

SO
LOW BLUES
is Matt's third album and was released in March 2002. It features
Matt completely solo, and showcases the "freaky little one
man blues band" show. This album has the blues flavour of
John Lee Hooker, Son House, and Bukka White, with a contemporary
blast of rocking Blues Groove Slide Guitar.
This is where Matt plays acoustic slide guitar, electric slide
guitar, bass slide guitar, drums, percussion, vocals, backing
vocals, and harmonica - ALL AT THE SAME TIME! He does this by
means of a device (the little green box!) that records his
instruments, live, on stage. Matt can record an acoustic guitar
track, add some bass, some drums (real drums), and play electric
slide or harmonica over the top. This forms hypnotic blues grooves
that are extremely original, very raw, and most
importantly...real. The sound that Matt puts out on his own is
unbelievably “fat and full”, especially because there is only
one guy playing – it’s amazing!
This album has been almost 3 years in the making, and all the new
songs have been extensively road tested around Australia on Matt's
now infamous blues tours.
"I've been averaging about 200-230 shows a year, so I let the
crowd tell me what songs are good and what songs don't work. This
is an album for the people who came to my shows...it's for them.
It's got all their favourites, as well as some surprises…”
